Dr James Smith
General Practitioner Registrar MBBS
Our current Registrar Dr James Smith is available for appointments from February 2019.
We welcome James to the Carnegie Medical Centre team.
Interests: paediatrics, women’s health, geriatrics, men’s health and dermatology
Consults: Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Friday
James studied Biomedical Science at Monash University and graduated in 2010. He then went on to study Medicine at The University of Melbourne and graduated with distinction. He has worked as a Junior Resident Medical Officer at Austin, Northern, Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals. He has also worked full time as a General Practice Registrar in practices in Aspendale and Ashwood and is currently working as a locum GP for the National Home Doctor Service.
James has completed a Diploma in Child Health.
James is currently our General Practice Registrar and is looking forward to the variety and opportunities for continuing care that general practice offers.
His interests outside of medicine include travel, fishing, hiking and camping, tennis, running, playing Australian Rules football and theatre.
Dr James Smith will be consulting at Carnegie Medical Centre from the 1st of February 2019.
