Dr Sarah Hershan joins the team at Carnegie Medical Centre in August 2020, as a GP registrar.
Sarah studied medicine at Monash University and graduated in 2016. She has since worked across Alfred Health and Monash Health networks in multiple areas including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and geriatrics. In 2020 she has worked as a General Practice Registrar at a practice in Rowville.
Sarah is interested in providing healthcare to patients of all ages and from all walks of life. She has spent time providing medical care in Aboriginal communities and understands the importance of celebrating cultural differences and advocating for vulnerable patient populations. Sarah has also spent time at the Royal Children’s Hospital and has completed a Certificate of Women’s Health which will allow her to provide shared antenatal care to pregnant women.
Sarah is currently our General Practice Registrar and is looking forward to the variety and opportunities for continuing care that general practice offers.
Her interests outside of medicine include attending the gym, travel, camping and trekking and maintaining a healthy work-life balance which involves catching up with family and friends frequently.
Dr Sarah Hershan will be consulting at Carnegie Medical Centre from the 3rd of August 2020.
