Our Beloved GP Dr Margaret Dawson Retires

Carnegie Medical Centre

Dear Patients,

It is with some sadness, that I write to you tell you of my pending retirement. This is earlier than I had initially intended and is due to personal reasons. My last day in the surgery will be 20/12/2019 after 16 years of service at CMC.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working at Carnegie Medical Centre with its caring and supportive colleagues, whom I will miss greatly. The reception staff are exceptional and one of the many reasons why I have stayed at CMC for so long. I found a “home” when I started, initially as a locum in 2005, to cover a doctor on maternity leave.

To my patients, I say farewell. It has been a privilege to care for your medical needs and an honour to share part of your life’s journey. We have been through some great and tough times together and I am sure that from time to time, in years to come, you will be in my thoughts; while I’m caring for my husband or parents, minding my grandchild(ren), pottering in the garden or working on a project in the sewing room!

I am confident that your future medical needs will be entirely met by the experienced medical staff at CMC. I commend them to you. However, should you choose to find medical care elsewhere, the reception staff will be able to help with the process of transferring your medical files to your new practice.

I wish you all the very best for the future.

Farewell

Margaret.
